Evan's first kiss

We have enjoyed the week. Evan had his first kiss from Savannah! We took him to the pool and of course had lots of naps. He is smiling at us and I did manage to get one semi picture of a grin - I'm not quick enough to get a good smile.

6 weeks of Evan

I am obviously not the best at posting, but I've been busy. This has been a great experience, but exhausting. Here are some pictures of the fun times we are having - Cades Cove, Matt & Emily's wedding, our best buddy Adam Wright, bath time, sleeping on dad and meeting our Great Grandmother

8lbs 3oz 20 3/4 inches What a MAN!!

We are in Love. This sweet baby came into the world Thursday June 12 at 7:30am via C-section. I will not go into details, it was frightening for daddy and me, but as the days progress I remember less and less, so much so, I would do this again.
Evan has my coloring (I was a red head/strawberry blonde) and his father's good looks. He is a great baby. Sleeps 3-4 hours at night! we have to wake him up to feed. And he loves to eat. We are learning as we go but enjoying every step of the way. I also have to mention what an incredible husband/baby daddy I have. Pat has been the best part about this whole experience. SO loving to me, he has taken the best care of me and I have not wanted for anything. As for Evan, I did not change a single diaper for 4 days. Daddy gets up and brings him to me if it's feeding time (he knows the signals) he changes diapers, gives bathes, and still finds time to cook dinner and breakfast! I am more in love with Pat now than ever before and find myself in a continuous state of awww over my husband and son.
Enjoy our Son!

2 more days until EMH arrives

All apologizes, I have really been a slacker as of late. Although this pregnancy has been easy on me and Pat, it has really slowed me down these last weeks. Thank goodness I am having this baby before we have much more of this 90 degree heat. I feel for all the women who have to go through this summer.
Apparently my little cousins in Atlanta :) want to see this enormous baby bump. In addition to my extention I am including pictures of what Pat and I have been up to during this 2 month hiatus. Enjoy!

Chubby Baby's 4D ultrasound pictures

Today we had our 32 week and final 4D ultrasound. He has really put on some weight. Our big boy slept most of the visit, we were able to wake him up just enough to get him to move his arm from his face. After getting his arm down he then proceeded to put his foot in his face. He was so cramped up in me that we did not see much of his body, only his head, hands, 1 foot, boy parts, hair and an ear. Never the less, he still looks like his daddy. Hopefully he will be here is 6 week! I can't imagine him getting any bigger, but I do realize he still has 2-3 more pounds to gain as well as 3-5 more inches to grow. I really do hope he is early.

First Shower

Evan's First Baby Shower! We received so many wonderful gifts, I can't wait to watch him play with everything and to dress him up in all the cute little outfits. I guess there is no going back now!

30 Weeks down 10 Weeks to GO!!!!

Up against the "Pregnancy Wall" at work. Frances started it, Melanie followed, and I am continuing.
Not a whole - lot going on. Our battery is dead in the digital camera and I am too lazy to charge it, So Meredith took these pictures at work today. I am now beginning my 30th week. Last post I was 26/27 weeks - can't remember since it has been so long ago.
April should fly by for us. We start our parenting/birthing/baby classes, I turn 30 -ouch, we are going to see Alison Krauss and Robert Plant!! possibly Levon Helm (From The Band), and a - Best of all - a weekend trip to Sugar Falls.
Then we get through May and Evan will be here! I think he is as ready to get out of me and I am ready to get him out. His movements are more stretching and rolling, probably trying to make more room for himself. He still kicks but more in the morning. Those kicks can take my breath away. He'll probably play soccer like his mommy :)
