This is only the second time we have had a picture taken of all 3 of us since having Evan. Evan was so good, except for the session when he was in the bag with the Santa hat - he kept playing with the beads and not looking at the camera. They still turned out cute.
Happy 6 month birthday Evan - Way to go Pat and Lauren! This morning Pat said "Everyone says a baby changes everything". That was in response to something I said we could do if only we did not have a baby with us. We have both enjoyed the past 6 months and really look forward to every adventure coming our way. I can even say that having a hickey on my shoulder... I just noticed that. I am guessing Evan did that right before bedtime. From being peed on, to waking up in the middle of the night, even the slobbery kisses We are enjoying parenthood. In just 6 short months
We are so thankful for our son! This was a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thursday we had the traditional Thanksgiving dinner at mom and dad's. Evan and Averie were very good. We gave Evan a turkey leg that had been cleaned off to teeth on. He loved it; notice the pictures where he was enjoying it, then when it was taken away. His face goes from white to red in 2 seconds. On Friday we went to Bristol to see my Grandmother. My aunt Lisa, uncle Jack, and cousin Sarah came too - Jon was "sleeping"... So we had a wonderful dinner that no one but a grandmother could make. Kitty handed down my great, great grandfather's Christening gown. The gown was made in 1894! I did not think it would fit Evan (I was actually scared to try) but it fit. The Cass boy's were big babies. That's a good thing because Evan is so big! Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving as much as we did.
Here are a few pictures of Evan and Averie. I should have some more cute pictures of the kids after Thanksgiving. Until then here are some forced shots. The subjects are less than happy....
5 months is great. Evan has grown so much and learned a lot too. He is now sitting up by himself, he likes to feed himself (we still assist), and we are hearing some dada in his giberish. I don't have any pictures of it yet, but Evan loves the cats. Walley and Chubby have been good sports -for short time periods. Pat and Evan are the best of friends (me too, but I always take the pictures). Evan loves books and music; he loves when Pat plays the guitar for him and reaches out to strom some cords too. They also play the bongos together.
Being first time parents we have made a few mistakes... I think this was a big one. Having the day off, Pat and I decided to go hiking with Evan. Not too bad, BUT we decided to hike Mount Lacont. Mount Lacont is a 10.4 mile hike. Evan is 4.5 months old. We did great, enjoyed the beautiful day and the family time. Evan did wonderful, he looked around at the trees, the landscape, the people we passed; he took it all and never cried. We don't deserve such a wonderful baby. Imagine taking a 4 month old baby outside for 7 hours and the baby not complaining once. That is what a great baby we have. The only repercussion we had was a runny nose for 2 days... But,It was a beautiful day
